Pete Waterman to give intimate talk at Birmingham venue
Music icon Pete Waterman will entertain fans in Birmingham this summer.
Producer and songwriter Pete, who is a proud supporter of Walsall FC, has had a hugeley varied career. His most memorable moments in the music industry saw him bring Philadelphia soul trio The Three Degrees to the UK and score a total of 22 number one singles with the many acts he worked alongside.
The former Wolverhampton-based steam locomotive fireman also penned the theme tune to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and co-wrote and produced That Sounds Good to Me by Josh Dubovie, the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest entry for the United Kingdom.
Coventry-born Pete has had many roles on TV, co-presenting The Hit Man and Her with Michaela Strachan. He is perhaps best known on TV for appearing as a judge on Pop Idol between 2001 and 2003, and Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
He also has a love for railways and steam engines, on which he presented a programme for Channel Four and The Discovery Channel.
An Evening With Pete Waterman will see the icon give fans an insight into his career, with behind-the-scenes stories.
The show will come to Birmingham Town Hall on June 13.
