Ned’s Wonder – a limited edition 4.1 per cent ale from Birmingham-based Froth Blowers Brewing Co – has been created to mark the forthcoming Love From Stourbridge tour, which will feature sets from both bands.

Miles joined Ned’s members Jonn Penney and Rat to perform a few acoustic numbers at The Duke William pub in Coventry Street, Stourbridge, in front of a select crowd before raising a glass as the first pint of Ned’s Wonder was pulled.

Pub manager Jason Taylor, aged 39, said: “It was very successful – there were about 80 people upstairs.

“Everything went well and the three barrels we had all went.

“It is a malty beer and it is a more traditional style ale – we are sort of spoilt now with the choices of ales we have but this is a good base beer.

“I can’t see why we would not have it on while they were touring.

“Hopefully it will crop up in a lot more local boozers – it is more choice for the community. They all enjoyed it and I think it will do well on the tour.”

The tour will see both bands hit the road in March and April.

The Love From Stourbridge tour will see the musicians kick things off in London on March 30 at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Other dates will see them take on Leicester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, and Bournemouth. The 11-date tour will conclude with two shows at the 02 Academy in Birmingham.

Ned’s Wonder ale will be sold in bottles at all the tour dates as well as in casks at pubs around the country.
