Jorja Smith's new song starring Stormzy trending as number one on YouTube - as NME names the Walsall singer in their Top 100 rising stars
Walsall singer Jorja Smith has released a new song featuring grime star Stormzy - and the video is now trending number one on YouTube.
The 20-year-old up-and-comer was also featured in today's Top 100 in NME magazine, which lists the rising stars set to make it big in 2018.
Her new song, entitled Let Me Down, has so far garnered 17,000 likes on YouTube, with a total of 225,030 views since it was uploaded at 6pm yesterday evening.
The video shows Jorja sporting a blonde wig and beige trench-coat as she takes on the role of a female assassin.

Working for what appears to be an Eastern European gangster under Stormzy's control, the video shows Jorja seducing a male ballet dancer, before turning a gun on him.
Comments on the video hail Jorja as a 'vocal and visual legend' and the song and video as a 'masterpiece'.
The video was reportedly filmed in Kiev and produced by Ed Thomas and Paul Epworth.
In the NME Top 100 article, Jorja is described as having 'velvet smooth' vocals and is recommended for fans of Amy Winehouse and Sampha.
"Drake is such a fan, he hand-picked the 20 year old to guest on two different tracks from his 2017 playlist More Life," said NME.
"She repaid the favour by taking the Canadian producer to her local Co-op when he visited Walsall with her."
The magazine states her 'essential track' is Beautiful Little Fools, released by Jorja last year.
