One Direction Story Of My Life video is family affair for Liam Payne
They are used to Liam being the star of the show but now the family of the One Direction singer are preparing to join him in the limelight with an appearance in his latest video.
The Bushbury superstar and his bandmates have launched an emotional video for their new song Story Of My Life and Liam's family all feature.
The clip to accompany the song shows band members developing old family photographs. It then shows them reliving old family memories in real time as their loved ones remain frozen around them.
The video shows a young Liam, suited and booted, posing with his mother Karen, father Geoff and older sisters Nicola and Ruth in an old family photograph.
As the song goes on, the photograph is transformed to show the Payne family recreating the image again now. The 20-year-old singer, then moves out of the family line up to wander around the room and look at other old photographs.
At one point, the singer even waves his hand playfully in front of dad Geoff's face as he stands posing with the rest of the family.
Ben Winston, who was also involved in the making of last offering Best Song Ever directed the video, and the song is number four in the charts after being released last week.
Music mogul Simon Cowell has taken to Twitter to praise it.
Liam tweeted a snapshot from the video with the message 'Hope you guys like it'.
His fellow bandmates are also joined by family members during the clip.
Harry Styles is seen sitting on a sofa with his mother, Niall Horan is playing musical instruments with his brother, while Zayn Malik sings in a bedroom with his sister. Louis Tomlinson is seen with his grandparents.
The band were in Japan yesterday to promote their film This Is Us.
