The extravaganza takes place on Sunday and now the mammoth task to set up the stage is well under way.

More than 40 lorries are used to transport the stage, lighting, set and video screens for Bon Jovi's Because We Can Tour.

The 140-strong stage team started work at Villa Park on Wednesday, and will work 12-hour shifts to get the be ready in time.

Site co-ordinator Matthew Stewart-Gentle said the band have four separate stages so that the shows can be held in quick succession.

The stage at the Manchester's Etihad Stadium is already completed for the band's Saturday night show, and preparations are already under way at Cardiff for the gig on Wednesday as well as the Sunderland gig on Thursday.

Mr Stewart-Gentle said: "It takes a great deal of preparation and planning to set up a show like this. It's always good fun but it can be stressful."

He added: "The video screens play a big part, it's not the number of them but it's where they are positioned that makes the impact. Everyone is in for a brilliant show."

Fans at Sunday's gig can enjoy hits such as Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name and It's My Life, as well as tracks from new album What About Now.
