More than 10,000 people will descend on Cannock Chase from tonight for two open-air concerts by Plan B and Will Young.

Rapper Plan B will take to the stage in front of a sell-out crowd of 5,250 people tonight, followed by Will Young tomorrow.

Organisers at the Forestry Commission hope there will be no more heavy rain.

Spokesman Alastair Semple said: "The weather forecast is looking pretty good for the weekend now."

This year's shows are both sell-outs, which is an improvement on last year when 1980s pop-synth legends Erasure and Scottish rock veterans Simple Minds sold 97.5 per cent of the full ticket allocation.
