Ten-year-old Ben Wilby, from Cannock, who became familiar to film fans across the globe when he starred in the hit 2009 British comedy Nativity! has reprised his role as Bob in Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger.

The St Mary's Primary School pupil appears alongside former Doctor Who David Tennant in the film.

The trailer is due to be released shortly, ahead of the film's nationwide premiere on November 23. Ben said: "I am really excited that it is coming out. I want to thank the director Debbie Isitt for giving me another opportunity. I think I will be nervous before I go in to watch it, but it is going to be better than the first one."

Ben's mother, Jill Wilby, is waiting to hear about the London premiere for the cast and crew but has already seen a sneak preview of the finished film.

She said: "The official trailer was released on You Tube but it has been pulled since then."

"I have seen some of it, I can't say anything about it, though, but I am very happy with it – it's going to be great." The £3million movie was shot over the course of six weeks in October and November last year in various locations across England and Wales. David Tennant plays the dual role of twin brothers, and the film also features Joanna Page, as the wife of one of the brothers, who is familiar to millions for her role as Stacey Shipman in the hit BBC comedy Gavin & Stacey.

Young Ben wants to further his career by attending the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, in London.

Former pupils who attended the famous stage school include All Saints singers Nicole and Natalie Appleton, former Spice Girl Emma Bunton, Denise Van Outen and Amy Winehouse.

But Jill Wilby said she needs to come up with around £18,000 a year in fees and then the same again for accommodation in London.
