Spoken word festival returning to Much Wenlock
The sound of stories, songs and spoken word will return to Much Wenlock later this month.
The Get A Word in Edgeways festival will return to Much Wenlock between October 13 and 15.
Described by organiser Mike Rust as a three-day "spoken word party", the weekend will feature dozens of events around the town, in many of its pubs, halls and community centres.
"We're an international storytelling poetry festival," Mike explained.
"Much Wenlock had a couple of really cool festivals before the pandemic. We've rolled them up together, and using a £26,000 grant from the Arts Council, we've given it a new name.
