When and where to see Flying Scotsman pass through Staffordshire on Saturday

The world-famous Flying Scotsman is set to pass through Staffordshire this weekend and we have listed what time it is set to arrive in the region, as it pulls an excursion train to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Flying Scotsman will be going through Staffordshire twice on Saturday

This year marks 100 years of the express passenger loco, which was the first to officially reach 100mph on British railway lines back in 1934.

Flying Scotsman will haul 'The Cheshireman', a private railtour from London Euston to Chester and return.

The legendary locomotive will leave London Euston at 6.48am as it begins the journey to Chester, with stops to pick up passengers at Watford Junction, Milton Keynes Central, Northampton, Rugby, Brinklow, and then arrive into Nuneaton at 9.39am.

After leaving Nuneaton, the Flying Scotsman will continue its journey to Chester and pass through stations in Staffordshire on the way.

It will pass through stations, including those at Staffordshire, at the following times:

Atherstone - 9.48am

Polesworth - 9.53am

Amington Junction - 9.56am

Tamworth - 9.57am
