Britain's Got Talent's Donchez wiggles and wines at Sedgley Christmas lights switch on - with pictures
Christmas sparked into life in a Black Country town as hundreds of people attended its annual lights switch-on.
Around '900 people' descended on Sedgley town centre where the count down to Christmas began on Sunday.
Festive songs filled the air from live performers including Britain's Got Talent sensation Donchez Dacres, as the crowd lapped up the festive atmosphere.
There was also stalls with Christmas treats on sale for people to enjoy.
Sedgley ward councillor Michael Evans said: "The lights switch-on went exceptionally well and people really enjoyed themselves.
"It is important to put on these events because it brings the community together.
"We had more than 1,000 people attend last year, however I would say around 800 to 900 attended this year.
"I would put this drop in numbers down to the weather though."
Among those performing on stage was Wolverhampton's Donchez Dacres and rocker Kenny Craig, from Sedgley.
Pictures captured hundreds of people packing into the town centre to watch the lights switched on.
The event ran from 4pm to 7pm with the official switching taking place at 6pm.
Due to the volume of the crowd, a temporary traffic system was put in place where cars passed through the town centre down one lane.
The event was organised by Dudley Council and Sedgley ward councillors.
