Abraham Darby will feature on the 2018 festival glasses

The Dudley and South Staffordshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale is holding the Dudley Winter Ales Fair in Dudley Town Hall from November 29 to December 1.

It needs Camra members to volunteer for roles including bar managers, stewarding and first aid.

The festival glasses and posters will feature Woodsetton-born Abraham Darby who developed a method of producing pig iron in a blast furnace fuelled by coke rather than charcoal.

Anyone from the branch who would like to get involved should attend the next planning meeting in The Park Inn, Woodsetton, on August 6 at 8pm or contact festival organiser Karl Denning at dwaf@dudley.camra.org.uk

The branch is also seeing advertisers for the winter ales fair programme from local breweries, pubs and clubs who can e-mail dwafadverts@dudley,camra.org.uk to find out more,
