Top Birmingham pastry chef visits Halesowen college students
A top pastry chef at a Birmingham restaurant has visited students at Halesowen College to share his skills.
Head pastry chef at The Wilderness, Bharat Chandegra, has worked with Level Two Patisserie and Confectionery students at the college.
Bharat delivered a Masterclass on chocolate tempering and finishing truffles.
Chris Hughes, catering lecturer at Halesowen College, said: “Bharat really inspired the students by showing them how to produce professional products that show creativity and skill.”
“They really valued the experience and learnt a lot.”
Bharat said: “I was very impressed with the facilities at Halesowen College and to witness learners gaining qualifications that really meet the needs of the industry.”
He is also keen to enable students to gain valuable work experience with him in the near future.
