Dark Ruby, brewed by Sarah Hughes Brewery at the Beacon Hotel in Bilston Street was voted beer of the festival at the annual Dudley Winter Ales Fayre in Dudley Town Hall.
The six per cent strength mild is a former winner of the Campaign for Real Ale's West Midlands champion beer.
The runner-up in the festival competition was North Riding Brewery's US IPA V32.
All 76 beers at the festival were subjected to blind tasting by members of the Dudley and South Staffordshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale which organises the event that ran from Thursday to Saturday.
