The Beer Emporium, in Oxford Street, was chosen as the winner of the prestigious award by Wyre Forest Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

The pub was opened by Lynn and Peter Nuttall in July 2016 and has been a welcome addition to the town's pub sector – establishing a faithful following.

Owner Mrs Nuttall said: "We are very pleased and proud to have been chosen for this award.”

Trace Richardson, Wyre Forest CAMRA branch cider representative, added: "As a cider drinker, whenever I visit, I am always guaranteed a choice of good quality, real ciders – that is ciders made from the full fruit, not from concentrates."

The runner-up for the category was Weavers Real Ale House, in Comberton Hill.
