Wolverhampton baker hopes to make final cut at awards
A baker to the stars from Wolverhampton who has made cakes for Hollywood celebrities is in the running for a top award.
Paz Heer of AB Cakes is up for Best Cake Designer at the Midland Asian Wedding Awards.
He will find out if he's been crowned the winner tomorrow at a ceremony in Birmingham.
Paz, who runs his bakery business from Snow Hill, has made incredible cakes for the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in the past.
And he said he was 'chuffed' to find out he had been nominated for the prestigious accolade.
"It was fantastic," he said. "Just to be a finalist is enough. It's just wonderful to know that my customers care that much to nominate me."
Hundreds of people applied, or were nominated, for the award but only five finalists made the cut. And just one will take home the trophy this weekend.
