Due to phenomenal public demand, Tom Stade, one of the comedy circuit's fastest rising stars is set to return to Birmingham in May.

Canadian Stade, who used to live in Wolverhampton, first came to prominence on the debut series of BBC One's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow with his infamous 'Meat Van' routine, centring on Bilston Market.

Following high-profile appearances on BBC One's Live at the Apollo and Channel 4's Stand Up for the Week, Stade has now extended his popular nationwide tour for a second time with a date at Birmingham's Glee Club on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

Glee Club comedy promoter Duncan Burns said: "We're delighted to welcome Tom back to The Glee. He sold out two dates with us in 2011 and they were both strong candidates for our show of the year.

"He's one of the best live stand-ups around right now, one to tell your friends about."

Tickets cost £15 in advance (£13 NUS advance) on 0871 472 0400 or at www.glee.co.uk/birmingham
