Ben Hanlin, who has appeared on TV, has offered to give people a private magic show as a 'thank you' for donating to the charity.

He has launched the fundraiser after his daughter suffered from the condition at the start of the year – which she has since recovered from.

Mr Hanlin said: "Having to call '999' when our little girl Delilah was struggling to breathe was every parent’s worst fear. She was just seven months then and was rushed to hospital with a high temperature, mottled skin, and was diagnosed with suspected sepsis.

"We’d heard of the condition but knew little about it, and seeing how quickly it can make a child so gravely ill was terrifying. Thankfully Delilah has recovered well - we were so lucky that her symptoms were spotted early, but unfortunately this isn’t always the case."
