Shows cancelled and postponed due to wintry weather (with date for rescheduled Wolverhampton Ken Dodd gig and other events)

Shows across the region have been forced to cancel due to snow and freezing conditions.

Last night, Ken Dodd's show at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall and and Kanwar Grewal's gig at the Civic Hall had to be cancelled.

Ken Dodd's show has now been rescheduled for December 20.

Tonight's Jason Manford show at the Wulfrun will still take place.

Stafford Gatehouse has cancelled this evening's performance of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood due to 'adverse weather'. The Gatehouse has stressed the safety of customers, staff and the cast is their highest priority - and the reason for their decision

The town centre theatre issued the following statement this afternoon:

Wolverhampton's Newhampton Arts Centre has also been affected, with the Whitmore Reans venue taking the decision to cancel tomorrow night's performances of News 24, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol by Take A Bow and The Discoverers.

The Wolverhampton shows will be rescheduled. Those who cannot make the new date will be issued with refunds, says the centre.

The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire has also called off tonight's Let It Be Told by the Jazz Orchestra. This too is due to the weather.

Dudley Borough Halls put out a tweet this afternoon to say tomorrow's matinee show of Swing Time - Christmas Special has been cancelled too.

This has been rescheduled for March 13. Tickets holders may request a refund or attend the new date.

Wolverhampton Grand's performances of Jack and The Beanstalk were cancelled yesterday. There are no shows of the panto due to take place today.

Birmingham's O2 Academy was also forced to cancel Kodaline's gig last night. This has now been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 13.

The Hippodrome theatre also had to cancel yesterday's matinee peformance of The Nutcracker. Exchanges and refunds are on offer.

All other performances of The Nutcracker are due to go ahead as planned.

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets at the Genting Arena also had to be called off last night. The venue has said information regarding refunds and rescheduled dates will come shortly.

Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury has said all of its shows will go ahead as scheduled.

Telford's Oakengates Theatre, meanwhile, has offered free entry to its pantomime shows of Peter Pan today due to schools being shut which were due to attend. Donations have been requested for the mayor's charity.

The theatre did, however, have to cancel their Peter Pan performance yesterday.

The Robin 2 in Bilston was also affected, having to cancel their Mostly Autumn show last night. This has now been rescheduled:
