The 1992 family favourite, starring comedy queen Whoopi Goldberg, will be screened alongside a live performance from the Uplifted Voices choir - best known for their appearances on The X Factor and The Voice.

The 35-piece gospel choir will also be joined by a band, performing film favourites such as My God and I Will Follow Him.

Sister Act tells the story of Vegas lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier (played by Whoopi Goldberg), who after witnessing a murder at the hands of her boyfriend has to enter witness protection to avoid a similar fate. She turns to the one place that she hopes he will never look - a convent. Disguised as a nun, Deloris woefully tries to adopt her new lifestyle. And after several false starts, she finally finds her voice at the heart of the church choir

Opening the show will also be Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists Gospel Singers Incognito.

The show will take place at the Symphony Hall on March 31.

Tickets to the event, priced between £21 and £28, are now on sale.
