WATCH: Revellers out in force at Birmingham Pride 2017
Thousands of people came together to celebrate diversity at Birmingham Pride today, despite increased security in the wake of the Manchester terror attack.
West Midlands Police had warned revellers to expect heightened security and bag checks, however this did not dampen the spirits of festival goers and many said they felt reassured by the bolstered police presence.

The two-day event kicked off with a minute's silence in tribute to victims of the Manchester terror attack before the carnival parade through Victoria Square.
Pride organisers said revellers would show the world Birmingham's "true spirit of love, unity and support".
