The East Park play area has recently undergone a huge transformation following a £600,000 investment by Wolverhampton Council.

Among its attractions is a octopus and water splash play area, offering the perfect place for youngsters to cool down in the hot weather.

Other features include roundabouts, seesaws, wetpour tunnels and bucket and rope swings.

A spokesperson for Wolverhampton Council has confirmed that the water play area is currently open.

They said: "The splash pad at East Park is currently open. While we are seeing a good period of warm weather and the pad is being well used, we are keen to keep it open and available for families to enjoy.
