Dudley Canal Trust shuts early due to lockdown
Dudley Canal Trust has begun a temporary closure ahead of the start of England's second lockdown on Thursday.
The trust has decided to shut its headquarters site at The Portal, off Birmingham New Road, and suspend its narrowboat trips into the Dudley Canal Tunnel and limestone mines.
It only resumed its activities on July 10 after the first lockdown.
The plan is to open again in early December in order to run its Christmas special trips.
More Covid-19 coverage:
It had planned to run 'The Great Present Hunt - A Christmas Adventure' on selected days from December 1-23.
The special Halloween trips finished on Saturday.
