Spanning 30,000 sq ft Inflatable Zone has opened at Soccer Zone, Park Road, Halesowen in time for people to let loose during the summer holidays.

Owners Kerry Clarke and fiancee former West Bromwich Albion footballer, Nigel Quashie, decided to set up the park due to the uncertainty of when their indoor inflatable courses and soccer zones could reopen in line with coronavirus guidelines.

Ms Clarke said: "When coronavirus happened we thought, we can't be closed until October as we have got way too many staff to make redundant.

"We thought about what we could do in line with Government rules and as quickly as possible, so we moved our inflatable park from Birmingham to our soccer zone in Halesowen to create the largest inflatable play area in the UK."

The play park has taken a number of precautions to ensure it is safe for customers.

All staff members are wearing visors, no cash is used on site, customers' hands are sanitised on entry to the park and before entering the course and capacity has been limited to less than half.

Extra cleaning measures are also in place as well as spectator seating being two metres apart and a one-way entry system.

Ms Clarke added: "So far it has been going really well.

"We have had people come from London, Bristol and the north.

"We have really tried to think about how we can make it as safe as possible for our customers.

"We have had some unbelievable responses from parents which have left us with tears in our eyes because we have worked really hard to get it up and running."

As well as family sessions, there are also slots specifically for those with SEND, toddlers and adults only.

The park is set to stay in Halesowen until October and all sessions must be pre-booked online.
