Canalside Farm, near Stafford, will host the online event from the July 24, and instead of people paying £6 as they normally would to attend the event, the owners are asking people to donate it to the NHS instead.

Anna Barton, co-owner of the farm, said: “We know how difficult it has been for people to keep the children entertained during lockdown and now they have the six weeks holidays to fill as well.

"So although we are unable to run our workshops on the farm this year, we wanted to help as much as we can and hope that people will donate their normal fee to the NHS.”

The workshop is mainly aimed at primary school children, with the objective of trying to help them understand where their food comes from and the benefits of eating a variety of different coloured fruit and vegetables.

The farm will be open every day during the summer and the onsite Canalside Café will also be open.
