New outdoor attraction set to open in Kidderminster

A new outdoor attraction is set to open in Kidderminster this weekend.

Habberley Trail will open this Saturday on the 42-acre site of an old golf club in Low Habberley.

The land, that was previously owned by the people behind The Crocky Trail adventure playground, underwent a £1million renovation to create a new outdoor space including various activities.

The site features a giant seesaw, a 'barrel roll', connect four basketball, swings, a skipping machine, a fairy trail, a football challenge, quick shoot basketball, a crocodile maze and more.

It also includes its own cafe open from 9am to 5pm serving hot and cold refreshments.

Habberley Trail was due to open in March, but the launch was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Due to current lockdown restrictions, there will be a number of measures in place for the opening.

There are bookable slots available for three sessions per day with 30 minute gaps in between for the team to sanitize the trail activities.

There will be limited spaces of 50 people per session.

Social distancing rules will be in place and sanitizer will be 'readily available' to visitors and staff.

The onsite cafe will be offering takeaway refreshments and will only be accepting card payments.
