Popular Himley Park bonfire amid cancellations due to coronavirus
A number of popular events at Himley Park including its annual Bonfire Night have been cancelled due to coronavirus.
Dudley Council has taken the decision to cancel all events at Himley Hall over the summer and for the rest of the year.
Organisers are considering alternative options for some events such as Himley Bonfire, including the potential to put dates back.
Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member responsible for Halls said: "We know by the thousands of people who come to them, that the public look forward to our events all year round.
"We have to make sure we put people’s safety first.
"We’re keeping a very close eye on the latest advice from the government and look forward to a day when we can welcome people back to these popular events."
Himley Park reopened on April 21 after the grounds were closed for around a month when crowds gathered at the beauty spot, flouting government social distancing guidelines at the time.
