Black Country Museum announces six week closure amid coronavirus outbreak
The Black Country Living Museum is set to close for six weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In a statement posted by the venue, representatives said the popular attraction will be closed from today for an initial period of six weeks until May 1.
The post went on to thank people for their 'support and understanding'.
The spread of Covid-19 has seen many event cancellations and venue closures across the Midlands.
Birmingham Hippodrome, The Alexandra Theatre and Wolverhampton Grand Theatre have suspended shows until further notice.
Odeon, Vue and Cineworld have shut all of their UK cinemas to prevent the spread of the virus.
MCM Comic Con, set to take place at Birmingham NEC, has been postponed until the summer.
Acts such as The Who, Evanescence and Rick Astley have also postponed their headline arena tours with dates in the area.
