Stars of a smash-hit reality television show paid a visit to the Black Country to meet with fans.
Alex Bowen, from Wolverhampton, and his new wife Olivia Buckland from ITV's nationally loved Love Island arrived at Merry Hill as part of a shopping event.
The pair, known for being runners-up on the show in the summer of 2016, were helping dish out 1,000 free pizzas to shoppers.
Members of the PIZZASQR team, the new grab and go pizza concept, were joined by the Love Island contestants for its ‘Battle of The Pizzas’ promotion.
The playful boxing event saw five rounds of live ‘boxing’ action with the brand, known for their artisan squared slices, putting a square and round pizza into the ring to battle it out to see which shape came out on top.
The reality stars got into the ring to compete in their own round and posed with the crowds of fans that had gathered.
Olivia go the better of Alex – who had returned to his roots for the event with had his mum and step-dad in the crowd cheering him on.
Davide Cason, operations director of PIZZASQR, said: “We had a fantastic day, it was great to see so many people engage with what we were doing, we like to think of ourselves as a fun brand, that’s serious about pizza - and I’m glad we settled the debate once and for all; squared pizza is best.
“Alex and Olivia were a fantastic addition to the day, and happily posed with fans. They were great fun – we hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did.”
It comes after 26-year-old Bowen and 24-year-old Buckland, who both boast massive social media followings, hit the headlines once more last month when they tied the knot at Gosfield Hall in Essex.
