Dudley classic car show a hit - in pictures
Hundreds of motor enthusiasts pulled up at a country park to celebrate the 15th anniversary of a car show.
The annual classic car show at Baggeridge Country Park in Dudley saw everything from 1960s Morris Minors to 1940s Chevrolets and 1970s Dodge Daytonas on parade.
Around 35 classic cars and their proud owners were dotted throughout the park – with some of those visiting the event already committed to returning next year.
Marilyn Westley, who has been going to the event for 10 years, to her black 1960s Morris Minor Traveller which she has been driving for the last nine years.
The 66-year-old from Bilston said: "It was a beautiful day and there were lots of people there.
"All the car parks were full and there were hundreds of people. We will be going next year.
"I have had Morris Minors for 32 years and my first car I had when I passed my test at 18 was a Morris Minor.
"The event is great because it shows the local people what is going on. It is a great idea to keep the event going on because it will get more cars out.
"Some people don't take their cars out every day but mine is out 24/7 whatever the weather and it is looked after."
For Paul Harborne, from Sedgley, the event was a chance to take his his lovingly restored pride and joy 1970 Dodge Daytona out and talk to 'gobsmacked' visitors about the cars history.
The 55-year-old said: "I have had that car a long time, since 1989, and when I bought the car it was in a real state.
"It was in a miserable condition and then over a 17-year-period I restored it. The reason it took so long was because it was the pre-internet days.
"I have been to the show a few times over the last 10 years. The weather was great and there were a lot of people.
"People were gobsmacked when they saw the car and I spent the whole day talking to people."
Elsewhere at the event, Helen Swadkins, from Kingswinford, took her 1946 Chevrolet Step Side pick up truck to the event to display.
She said: "We have been going down quite a few years. We like to go out and show the trucks off.
"It is always nice to go out and let people see what we have got."
