Pitchers, Lower Gungate, have booked a variety of local bands including tribute acts, Irish singers, Ska bands, cover bands, local Indie legends and singer songwriters.

Pitchers, which opened last Autumn, is predominately a sports bar but after the success of recent Saturday night gigs, including Oasiis, proved there is a thirst for live music in Tamworth.

The venue, which used to be a cinema, lends itself to live music and under a previous incarnation Coreys Sports Bar, which opened in 2014 and closed in 2022, regularly hosted live bands including UB40 tribute act Rats in My Kitchen.

Manager Jason Pegg said: "Tamworth has a great history of live music producing its own bands who started here and went on to bigger things. Local people support bands and enjoy seeing them live so we've been blown away with the response to our live music."

He added: "Committing to live music means having the confidence in local bands and booking them months in advance.
