Village's first pumpkin festival is as nice as pie

Organisers are celebrating the success of their village's inaugural pumpkin festival that took place over the weekend.

Claverley was full of autumnal cheer over the weekend as residents turned out for the pumpkin festival.

With the church dressed for harvest, community spaces across the village joined in on the festivities.

As well as a craft fair, Northern Soul disco, pumpkin trail and carving competition, medieval dancers were joined by a small tribe of Vikings to put on a display for visitors.
