For sale: Andre Gray’s £5 million home
It is a million miles away from his modest upbringing in Wolverhampton – or when he was plying his trade at the likes of Shrewsbury Town and AFC Telford.
Andre Gray is looking for a new home with his fiancee, Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
That means putting his present house on the market, for a shade under £5 million.
The couple have decided to sell up after losing their battle to build an underground pool, gym and jacuzzi at the six-bedroom home in Surrey.
The estate agent’s details give a fascinating insight into the lives of a footballer and music star.
And they reveal how much 29-year-old Gray has achieved since his upbringing in Whitmore Reans, when he was a youth player for first Wolves and then Shrewsbury Town before embarking on a career that now has him at Watford.
The couple only moved in three years ago and paid £4.575 million for the stunning home. It boasts six bathrooms, five reception rooms, a ‘wellness suite’ and steam room, plus two acres of gardens and grounds.
A games room and bar has little Little Mix gold and platinum discs on the wall and there is also a plush cinema room. The pad also has a triple garage with further living quarters above.
Estate agent Trevor Kearney believes the house will sell in days – despite a buyer with only a 10 per cent deposit needing to meet £19,763-a-month mortgage payments.
The Savills director posted a comment, saying: “I am thrilled to launch this amazing family home to the market.
"It was my first pitch of 2021 and I absolutely love it!
"This is a seller. The house has been thoughtfully designed to create a wonderful blend of impressive formal entertaining space as well as flexible accommodation for family life and a floor dedicated to leisure; the games room and cinema are absolutely amazing.
"I am really excited about this one going live.”
The couple wanted a spa set into a banked garden with a sunken courtyard and the pool underground. But council officials called the proposed 13ft-high development ‘inappropriate’.
