Theatre's Snow White pantomime postponed until 2021 due to Covid-19
A Staffordshire theatre has postponed its Snow White pantomime for 16 months due to concerns around coronavirus guidelines.
The Gatehouse, in Stafford, said holding pantomimes is "not a viable option" while social distancing measures are in place.
As a result, its scheduled Snow White shows have been pushed back to Christmas 2021. However the theatre said all tickets purchased for 2020 are transferable. Staff members will be contacting customers in due course.
The theatre, on Eastgate Street, has also postponed its whole pantomime season for 2020.
Jemma Harrison, sales and marketing manager, said: "It is with a very heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to postpone our pantomime season for 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 Crisis.
"We have talked through many different scenarios with our partners but unfortunately while social distancing is in place pantomime just isn’t a viable option.
"We are delighted however to confirm that the show will come back next year and it will be packed with more giggles and glitter than ever."
