Black Country music producer vying for spot on popular YouTube rap channel
A Black Country music producer is vying for the chance to feature on a popular YouTube music channel.
James Lyman, aged 25, from Wolverhampton, has entered a competition to be featured on Rap City, an American-based channel which has almost two million subscribers.
James - also known as LemOnTheBeat - specialises in producing backing beats for rap music, particularly in the styles of trap and drill.
He has previously featured on BBC Introducing, YouTube channels P110 Music and GRM Daily, and has worked with West Midlands artists such as Safone and Brixx.

James, who has been producing music for eight years, is asking people for their support in the competition launched by Cymatics.fm.
He said: "To win the competition would mean the world to me, to be honest. It would give me a massive platform to share my music."
Dozens of music producers have entered the competition with their own tracks, with James ranked at fourth place with his track called Bi Polar.
