Tyler Jones, 20, will be playing tracks ranging from house music to 1980s and 1990s club classics. He will also be taking requests from the general public.

Tyler, who's stage name is DJ Tyler J, will begin the set live from 8pm from his home in West Bromwich.

He will be equipped with a set of DJ decks and speakers.

Tyler told the Express & Star: "I am doing this live stream to raise as much money as I can for the NHS as this time.

"Doctors, cleaners, nurses and all staff in the hospital are saving thousands of lives and risking their own with this coronavirus.

"I want to raise money for Sandwell Hospital which is caring for my nan who has stage four cancer, as a way of saying thank you as well.

"The hospital is my local one and there has been a number of Covid deaths there."

His grandmother, Sandra Carter, 74, used to be a presenter on Sandwell General Hospital's radio station.

Tyler is also raising money for homeless people in a bid to help "all people who are struggling" during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He began DJing eight years ago and has aspirations of becoming a full-time DJ.

To make it through 24 hours, he has stocked up on sweets alongside energy drinks.

He added: "I just want to turn negativity into positivity during this difficult time."

Tyler will be going live on his Facebook page for the DJ set tonight.
