'Hi-de-hi' Wolverhampton panto stars pay festive visit to Express & Star
Comedy double act Su Pollard and Jeffrey Holland took time out of performing at the Grand Theatre to visit Express & Star.
The pair, who starred together in television sitcoms Hi-De-Hi and You Rang M’Lord?, are currently starring in the Wolverhampton theatre’s performance of Dick Whittington, which coincides with its 125th anniversary.
Lighting up the office as well as the stage, Su had the room in fits of laughter as she toured the office, speaking about her career as a performer, the joy of panto and her love for the city.
She said: “I love Wolverhampton, I really like that everyone here is so welcoming where ever you go.”
Su had some big plans of her own for the future of the Express & Star building.
She said: “Straight away I walked in and though what a massive building, it would make a great three-floor disco. I’d rename it ‘Pollards’!”
Dick Whittington runs until January 12.
