Wolverhampton's Cariss Auburn showcases new single tonight
Wolverhampton singer-songwriter Cariss Auburn will be showcasing her new single in a live show tonight.
The soulful musician - a former The Star Unsigned column featured artist - released Way Down on Friday, available to stream from the usual digital outlets, such as Spotify.
After opening for soul legend Alexander O’Neal at The Jamhouse, Birmingham to appearing at Sofar Sounds and supporting Heatwave at iconic venue The Jazz Café, London, Auburn is now aiming to conquer the airwaves with her new single.

Following her critically acclaimed debut EP Unphased back in 2016, which received heavy support from BBC Introducing WM and got ehr featured in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, Way Down sees Finchfield's Auburn take a melodic approach to emotional upheaval.
Initially recorded as a voice note on her phone before being produced by Nicky Brown (Madonna, Craig David, Take That) the R&B, soul-pop track discusses a "bad situation masked as a dancefloor anthem".
And she will play it in all its glory backed by her full band tonight at Birmingham's The Sunflower Lounge, arranged by Second City label Punch Records.
“My music does tend to be a form of personal catharsis and, because of that, covers the sadder emotions in life," she said. "But I still try to approach things with a bit of optimism even if it’s only one per cent and conveyed through the feel of the music rather than the lyrics themselves.”
