Wolverhampton's Macca drops new single
Following on from the release of his genre-straddling Winners Only EP earlier this year, Wolverhampton's Macca is back with a new single.
No Days Off is an anthem about working hard and reaping the benefits, a spokesperson said. They added: "The single finds the former StayFresh member spitting over a mesmerising beat from grime mainstay Silencer – AKA Teddy, known for his work with the likes of Wiley, Skepta, Jme and Giggs."
More coverage:
It serves as a follow-up to their February collaboration, Playtime’s Over, and is available to download and stream from all the usual digital outlets.
The spokesman continued: "With a new project entitled Winner's Circle already in the pipeline, Macca’s certainly living up to his ethos of nonstop grinding."
Renowned for his pivotal role in the growth of the West Midlands grime scene, Macca worked his way up to national recognition as a prominent figure in local collectives StayFresh and TNG, often sharing motivational messages in his music.
He was one of the first in his home city to champion grime – although he’s experimented in plenty of other genres, recruiting R&B singers, hip hop beats, and even collaborating with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Maverick Sabre over the years.
With a strong back catalogue to his name – including debut album 25 and that Winners Only EP which was executive produced by Swifta Beater – Macca has already earned plaudits from the likes of Sir Spyro, Logan Sama, Julie Adenuga and Tim Westwood.
