Birmingham hosts Ditto X Conference Tour
Ditto Music, the world's leading independent music distributor, brings its X Conference Tour to Birmingham tonight to meet unsigned artists – and a leading local light is on the panel.
Ditto CEO Lee Parsons will be joined by the likes of BBC WM Introducing's Alex Noble and Wolverhampton rapper and entrepreneur VITAL - a former Star Unsigned column act who hosts his own show on BBC WM at Birmingham's Access Creative College in Digbeth's Custard Factory.
Also on the panel will be BBC Introducing’s Shell Zenner, AJ Tracy’s manager Andy Musgrave, Mostack’s manager Shane Mizermilli, and rising urban artist Big Zuu.
The event starts at 6pm and runs until 9pm.
The conference is open to all independent musicians, and will offer one-on-one advice on developments, opportunities and challenges in the music industry.
There will be engaging panels, discussions, Q&A’s and workshops with industry leaders and established artists.
Mr Parsons said: “Ditto was built on community and Ditto X is our opportunity to meet artists and give them hands-on career help, wherever they are. I really can’t wait to meet and give advice to everyone who has supported Ditto so far."
The complete list of speakers is: Omari Taylor (manager, Jay1); Lee Parsons (CEO, Ditto Music); Vital (BBC Radio and former Star Unsigned column alumni); Alex Noble (BBC Introducing); Callum Hay (head of radio - Ditto Music); Daniel Mburu (Radar Radio / Deezer / Ditto Music); James Walsh (Neighbourhood / Dave); Jamal Odusanya (management for Big Zuu, Nathan Dawe); Jess Monroe (manager, Stardom); SOX (artist); Muna Rummi (A&R Pitched Up and artist manager); Despa Robinson (manager for Birmingham's JayKae, Smokeboys); and Grim Stickers (artist).
