The former Unsigned column stars, from Wolverhampton, are releasing Strangers to the world next Friday having put in the hard graft at their home city's RML Studios, based at Newhampton Arts Centre, with producer Ryan Pinson.

The band are made up of guitar-wielding twins Owen and Kent Stavenuiter, from Penn, Bushbury boy Callum Ford on drums and Pennfields-born bassist Dan Glover.

More coverage:

The new track veers away from their usual indie rock sound, adding a lot of groove led by Glover's bass. It is a regular in their live sets over the past couple of years so fans will know straight away what to expect.

It looks at the themes of love at first sight, and reveals a cynicism towards falling for somebody unconditionally based solely on their appearance.

Speaking about the track, Owen said: "Following three exciting releases, we are proud to share with you our fourth single.

"We have taken a somewhat different direction with this one, putting a lot of love into the track. It's a crowd favourite - first heard by audiences more than two years ago."

For those who haven't caught the band live before, links to the track will be posted on their social media channels. Runaway Hounds can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, all @runawayhounds, and all their releases can be heard on their Spotify page.
