Drawing on his experiences travelling North America, he has poured his multi-faceted folk sound into new track Tail Lights, which is out today on all digital platforms.

Born and raised in Sheffield, Burke spent in Canada and the US, developing a real taste for the indie and folk music prominent across the continent. Influenced by artists such as Bon Iver, The Fray, Wakey!Wakey!, Donovan Woods, Charlie Simpson, and Gavin DeGraw, Burke began to stamp his mark on the Vancouver music scene through the underground of the East Side of Downtown.

He was a founding member and lead vocalist of Sheffield indie outfit UnderLight from 2014 to 2017.

Tail Lights is the first single off his debut EP, which is due to be released in the new year on an as-yet-unannounced date.

Speaking about the song, Burke said: "Tail Lights tells a story of distance and complexity in a relationship with the emphasis on the way in which distance can alter our perception on life. As one of the bigger sounds on the EP, the track contains full instrumentation based around piano.

"Tail Lights is a real introduction to me as an artist and as an individual."

The Track was mixed by Elliot Vaughan, and mastered by Matthew Cotterill, and was recorded at Flipside Studios in Coventry.

To promote the single, Burke will be supporting Hattie Briggs at the Cuban Embassy in Moseley On Wednesday. The event, put on by Birmingham Promoters, is already sold out.
