Wolverhampton RnB singer Sophielou in hometown show
Wolverhampton-born RnB singer Sophielou has announced a big headline show next month to celebrate the release of her debut album.
The former Unsigned column star released SoulSearch last month, her brutally honest portrayal of life growing up in the city.
So it's fitting she will celebrate its release with an official launch show at Newhampton Arts Centre on Dunkley Street on August 29.

The venue is even more fitting given the local links used when creating her record. It was recorded by her engineer Dominic Laird and Keith Dilworth as well as being mastered by TRC at Beatsabar Studios – based at Newhampton Arts Centre.
And a lot of her recent music videos and promotional photographs have come via the city-based First Reunion Media.
The show, called SoulSearch LIVE, sees doors opening at 7pm on the night. Support will be provided by local artists, which Sophielou will announce in due course. The gig will kick off at 8pm.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8 for students, plus a booking fee, and can be purchased via the NAC's website.
