The Good Morning Britain presenter struggled with his Wolverhampton accent
Wuuulverhamptun! Piers Morgan pulled off a cringeworthy accent impersonating the dulcet tones of people from the city.
Viewers branded the Good Morning Britain host 'annoying' in his failed attempt on this morning's show.
And show producers apologised for the gaff later on Twitter saying: "Oh dear! We apologise to anyone from Wolverhampton for Piers Morgan's terrible accent."

A viewer Bev, a deputy head teacher at a primary school in Wolverhampton, had messaged into the show on Tuesday morning.
It prompted Morgan's ropey attempt at a Wolverhampton accent, in stereotypical drawl - leaving co-presenters Charlotte Hawkins and Suzanna Reid unimpressed.
Bev asked Morgan not to rant about vegans on the topical ITV morning show.
It led to co-presenter Charlotte Hawkins saying: “What accent is that, do you know? She is going to be in a foul mood now.”
Piers added: “It morphed into Mumbai. It started off as Wolverhampton, alright, Wolverhampton.”
Viewer Margaret Johnston said: "Accents are definitely not his forte."
Julia Windsor called Piers 'annoying' while Jan Waters added: "Does he know Wolverhampton and Birmingham are two different places."
It isn't the first time Morgan has turning his gaze onto Black Country life.
Back in 2016, the former newspaper editor, angered the good folk of Dudley over an attraction set up in the town centre.
Some people slammed the 114ft ferris wheel – which became known as the Dudley Eye – and Morgan waded into the argument, saying on GMB that the attraction towering over the town centre gives a ‘horrible view’.
He said: “The people of Dudley are lovely. I love people from the Midlands.
“But let’s be honest even people in Dudley know that’s a horrible view.
“Why on earth would you build a wheel to look at 400-year-old bricks.
“I cannot think of a grimmer panorama than Dudley.
“I don’t think even the people of Dudley, who have a great sense of humour, they must be looking at that and saying even I don’t want to see that and I live in Dudley.”
But critics hit back creating Piers Morgan masks to poke fun at the TV star while civic leaders and the Bishop of Dudley, Rt Revd Graham Usher, gave their support for the wheel.
