'I can wiggle and wine to Britain's Got Talent win' – WATCH Donchez Dacres back in Wolverhampton
He became an overnight star after getting the nation to wiggle and wine their bodies.
Now Britain’s Got Talent contestant Donchez Dacres has revealed he is hoping to bring home the win and make Wolverhampton proud.
The 60-year-old said he has felt like a ‘total superstar’ since millions tuned in to see him fast-track his way into the show’s live semi-finals.
Mr Dacres, who lives in Penn, said: “I’m on a high. I can’t believe it, the amount of interest. It’s such a wonderful feeling.
“I would love to do it for Wolverhampton. I’m going to give it my best shot, I’m going to go for it. It’s my dream.”

Hysteria has swept the country since Mr Dacres won over talent show judges with his self-penned tune Wiggle Wine.
The AA mechanic’s audition, which saw judge David Walliams slam the golden buzzer for the contestant, has since had more than 6.7 million views.
Talent show fans across the country are now strutting their dance moves whenever they spot the star in the street, while fellow Wulfrunians thank him for ‘putting Wolverhampton on the map’.
Mr Dacres, who has lived in the city for more than 40 years, said: “I feel very proud, I’m ecstatic. Everybody is doing the dance when they recognise me.”
The father-of-four revealed he was not in the comfort of his living room when his winning moment was aired for the first time on ITV earlier this month.
Instead, he decided to go-ahead with a pre-booked gig in Telford and prepared for the show as unsuspecting punters watched Britain’s Got Talent.
Despite remaining tight-lipped as his audition hit the screens, he could not escape the mania once guests realised his fate.
The roadside mechanic, who entered the contest after encouragement from loyal fans, said: “I did not watch it, this is how naive I was.
“When the golden buzzer went off, the pub went up, everybody was up.
“I had to sit in the corner, I got really emotional, all my emotions [from the audition] came back. Everybody was excited.
“I started my show and by the end of the night the pub was packed. People were telling other people where I was.”
Days later when the contestant dropped by at Dudley’s Himley House pub, customers jumped at the chance to ask if his hit had been released as a single.
Mr Dacres, who moved to Wolverhampton after growing up in Jamaica, added: “I was like a celebrity. Everyone was coming up and congratulating me.
“I thought maybe I should have done this years ago. People have been saying ‘we knew you were good, we knew you were a star’.” The performer said he has been overwhelmed with messages of support on social media, with more than 700 well-wishers getting in contact just days after his audition aired.
He is now setting his sights on getting through to the finals of the show later this year, adding: “I’m nervous, it’s like adrenaline. I’m looking forward to it so much. I have never done anything like this before.”
Music mogul and judge Simon Cowell praised Mr Dacres for his catchy tune after his audition and said: “People like you are the reason we make this show, because you made it fun. I really like you.”
