Mystery guests to make appearance at this year's Wolvesfest in Wolverhampton
Mystery VIP guests will be making a special appearance at this year's hotly-anticipated Wolvesfest Music Festival.
But festival organiser Shaun Ryan said he cannot share the secret just yet, in fear the event would be overwhelmed with excited fans.
Returning for the fourth time next month, Wolvesfest will be held on June 16 this year at the city’s rugby club in Castlecroft.
Already organisers have confirmed 16 acts, with eight live bands and eight acoustic line-ups, including Wolverhampton groups Tinned Astronaut and The Icon.
Shaun said he knows this year is going to be 'bigger and better than ever'.
He said: "I'm really excited. It's just going to be a much bigger event - better than last year.
"We have some special VIPs from the music industry coming but I don't dare say who yet though in case the field turns out rammed. They live in the area though."
Last year’s event proved a huge success, showcasing the best in Birmingham and Black Country talent - it also raised £10,000 for the rugby club, which welcomes 300 children to play sport there every Sunday.
Shaun said he hoped for 2,000 visitors this year, and wanted people to know Wolvesfest was not just your 'typical, muddy festival'.
He added: "We've got luxury loos and there's no wellies required. If it rains, it's no problem as we have a massive marquee that fits 2,000 people."
The family friendly event welcomes people of all ages for a day of music, good food, and refreshments.
As well as music there will also be food and merchandise stalls, inflatable fun, laser battles, real ales; all under one huge marquee with two stage areas.
Children under 16 are welcome free of charge as long as they are accompanied by an adult, but there are no facilities for toddlers. Visitors are reminded, like last year, that children aged under six cannot stay past 8pm.
Early bird tickets cost £10 or £15 on the door. Visit wolvesfest.com
