Stafford Gatehouse Youth Theatre to perform The Tin Soldier

Members of Stafford Gatehouse Youth Theatre are set to perform an adaption of a classic Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale this week.

The Tin Soldier will be staged in the MET Studio

Their production of the The Tin Soldier will take place in the MET Studio and run from Wednesday to Friday.

Based on The Steadfast Tin Solder, this ensemble storytelling piece features a host of wonderful characters brought to life by members of SGYT group 4.

The audience can join dolls,puppets and other toys as they follow the journey of the injured Toy Soldier who is battling for the heart of the beautiful paper ballerina.

Marketing and development coordinator at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, Tom Waldron, said: “It’s great to see this popular tale brought to life on the stage once again and tickets are selling well.”

“The group have worked really hard and we hope to see as many people as possible supporting these talented youngsters.”

The Tin Soldier will start at 7pm. Tickets are £5 each, with a concession price of £4.
