MØ is the best performer you have never heard of but you have definitely heard and she puts on a smashing show.

The Danish electropop star was full of energy at the O2 Institute in Birmingham on Saturday night.

With familiar global hits including Final Song, Drum and Lean On with Major Lazer and DJ Snake, the lively performer was on top form.

It is her biggest UK and Ireland tour to date which comes only days after she released her newest single Nostalgia on March 29.

"Birmingham, hello," she shouts to the audience.

She teases the audience into cheering for her after a few songs by saying: "You want more?"

The singer and songwriter, whose less catchy but real name is Karen Marie Aagard Ørsted Anderson, danced across the stage, having as much fun as the buzzing crowd. She created a lively and fun atmosphere that made it hard to stand still.

For the incredible and animated performance she put on, the venue was nowhere near full enough but it gave committed fans, who she calls Momins, room to dance which they happily obliged to.

Donning a tight leopard print top and flared shorts, she has a great unique style in her music and clothes plus a unique voice.

She was joined on stage by a drummer, guitarist and keyboard player.

There was a mix of her newer songs with older ones from her first and only album No Mythologies to Follow from 2014, each one was as bouncy as the last.

She released her first EP in 2014 followed by When I Was Young, thirteen singles and six as a featured artist. She has collaborated with Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande.
