The Script wow crowds at Birmingham's Genting Arena - with pictures

Last night, pop-rock band The Script wowed crowds at Birmingham's Genting Arena.

Fans tweeted about their anticipation ahead of the show - with some even queueing at the venue the day before.

The tour saw the band come to the second city in support of their brand new album Freedom Child, which features hit singles such as Rain and Arms Open.

The Dublin quartet treated the audience to both of these tracks, as well as the likes of Hall of Fame, The Man Who Can't Be Moved, Superheroes, If You Could See Me Now and For the First Time.

Ella Eyre supported The Script on this tour, best known for such songs as Came Here For Love, If I Go and Deeper.

The Script formed in 2001, and released their eponymous debut album in 2008.

The album peaked at number one in both Ireland and the UK, with the band's following three studio albums following in it's footsteps.

The Script have won three Meteor Ireland Music Awards and two World Music Awards and have received two Brit Award nominations.

Their music has also features on television programmes, such as 90210, Ghost Whisperer, The Hills, Waterloo Road, Eastenders, Made in Chelsea and The Vampire Diaries.
