Britney Spears to bring Las Vegas residency show Piece Of Me to Birmingham
Britney Spears fans rejoice: the pop icon is bringing her Piece Of Me tour to Birmingham.
The highly-anticipated announcement will see her joined by fellow pop icon Pitbull.
The tour follows Britney's record-breaking, four-year headline residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino's AXIS in Las Vegas.
With more than 250 shows, the record-setting revue was sold out on a regular basis, generating more than $140million gross revenue and selling nearly one million tickets.
Britney: Piece of Me has been attended by some of Hollywood's biggest names, including Beyonce; Jay Z; Lady Gaga; Anna Kendrick; Nick Jonas; Miley Cyrus; Kirsten Dunst; Chloe Grace Moretz; Calvin Harris; Sia; Selena Gomez; Katy Perry and Steven Tyler.
The show was also voted Best Resident Performer, Best Production Show, Best Bachelorette Party and Best Bachelor Party by readers of the Las Vegas Review Journal.
The 36-year-old Mississippi star performed acting roles in stage productions and television shows as a child before singing with Jive Records in 1997.
Britney's debut album ...Baby One More Time was released in 1999 and became the best-selling album by a teenage solo artist.
The icon is best known for a number of hit singles, such as Toxic, ...Baby One More Time, Womanizer, Oops!...I Did It Again, Everytime and Criminal.
The singer is regarded as a pop icon and credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s.
She became the best-selling teenage artist of all time and garnered honorific titles including the Princess of Pop.
Britney's work has earned her numerous awards and accolades, including a Grammy Award, six MTV Video Music Awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award, seven Billboard Music Awards including the Millennium Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She has sold more than 150 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Britney Spears: Piece Of Me comes to Birmingham's Genting Arena on August 31.
Tickets go on sale from 10am on February 13.
