The 19 year-old from Kingswinford was asked to produce the backdrops for the Fizzog comedy group’s production of The Wicked Wizard of Fizzog.

Her distinctive artwork provides a vivid addition to the successful show which is currently on tour around the Midlands.

Corran initially became involved with the Black Country production company through the Stourbridge-based Dramaworkshop but eventually chose art and design ahead of stage performances.

She said: “I took part in some of the Fizzog shows and my main claim to fame was when I appeared as the front end of a cow. It was such great fun working with them. Doing the painting gave me another chance to watch them and it was non-stop laughter.

“Producing the scenery was a challenge but I tried to create something which reflected their off-beat way of presenting their show.

“Art is my main passion. With my best friend Ryan Suzuki, we are developing our own brand of tee-shirts and prints and I am also working on other commissions.”

Fizzog Sue Hawkins said: “We sat down with Corran to discuss the show and she came back to us with her designs which reflected perfectly what we wanted.

“She is such a talent and so modest with it. She is so humble about her work. Sometimes, I don’t think she appreciates how good she is. I have seen some of the portfolios of her work for her college applications and they are amazing.”

Corran is now waiting to hear whether she has been accepted by the Central St. Martins college in London where she hopes to study fashion and follow in the footsteps of former students Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen.
